I am parent of 3 children. My child is in Year 5 and Year 1 and I have a little baby who is 1 years old. I work from home. In my spare time I like cooking, going for walks, yoga and spending time with my girls. I wanted to be a rep because I like to be part of the school community.

Hi Everyone it's Nusra Hanifa, and I'm a mother of two wonderful children. For me, being a good parent is both a joy and a big responsibility, and joining the Parent Champion group has been such a rewarding experience. It has given me the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, and feedback, while working closely with parents and staff to support the school's growth. What matters most to me is seeing every child progress, thrive, and feel proud of their achievements. I feel grateful to be part of this journey and to contribute, even in a small way, to the betterment of all pupils.

I chose to become a Parent Champion because I have always enjoyed being involved with children and their education. I have seen the positive impact school has made on my children and I wanted to give something back. I believe it is important for parents to feel included and have a voice, and I am always happy to listen, share ideas and work together to make school life the best it can be for every child. Being a Parent Champion gives me the chance to strengthen those connections and contribute to the welcoming, supportive environment that makes our school so special.

I am parent of 2 children at Mellor. I wanted to be a parent rep to help out in the community and to make people aware of accessibility in the area. This is a chance to educate people about ways to support people in the community. I also am an owner of small business for visually impaired.

Projects
Parent Champions and members of SLT ran a successful event sharing how to use the school online platforms. Parents/Cares were provided with support in accessing Db Primary, Mathletics, Bug Club and the school website. We also invited the library services to share information on how to join the local library and what services are being offered.
